A poster for a vigil I helped organize in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis. I intitially designed a banner that repeated “Myanmar” 22,000 times to represent the death toll at the tragedy’s outset.
By the time it came to make this poster, the death toll was unquantifiable, which I represented by distorting the type and spreading it across 500 posters sold to benefit relief efforts.
